Brooklyn had zero fear of the blizzard’s aftermath. He just dove right into it, trudging his way through and still managing to eat half his weight worth of snow in the process.
Celebrating Ander’s birthday downtown. No pictures really.
Rachel’s new tattoo-
We woke up to the 5th largest snowstorm in New York City history today. I had to have the building attendant come shovel a path for half an hour just so I could walk out of the front door to take these shots and grab a cup of coffee.
This was the scene on the intersection of Clinton and Houston Street in the Lower East Side. Treacherous.
No cars just clouds of snow and 40 mile an hour winds.
Good samaritans? Hardly. These dudes are out here getting serious money, one guy told me he’ll easily be making upwards of $500 today shoveling out desperate motorists.
No one was rushing to help shovel these guys out though.
Hope this isn’t too Christmas’ey-
I can’t decide if gingerbread houses are non denominational enough to post on here. Since this one is “branded” I’m pretty sure think that makes it acceptable.
Anyway I’m just thankful I was able to document this in time because right about now in the real world this house looks like it was hit by Katrina.
Obviously by “Katrina” I meant me stuffing my face for three days, right?
Boom. Branded. My family celebrates Christmas. Sorry.
Available now in the Online Shop.
“Reason and Blind Barber have come together to produce the first step in a collaborative effort entitled Born On 10th Street. This release consists of two custom striped knit winter beanies. A limited amount of both styles (one with om pom and one without) have just been released exclusively through the Reason Clothing online Shop, and the remainder will be available for purchase during a special in store Reason Clothing vs. Blind Barber event taking place in the coming weeks. The design of the hats references the red white and blue stripe motif of a vintage barber shop pole, while the hat shape is reminiscent of a United States Navy watchmen’s cap. Both hats are custom dyed, knit, finished, and embroidered in the United States. This collaboration is the result of a long running friendship between the owners of both companies and a coincidence that The Blind Barber was opened on 10th Street in Manhattan’s East Village, just steps from where Reason Clothing was first founded.
As far as I’m concerned, the holiday season in Midtown Manhattan should be reserved strictly for tourists. That being said, everyone needs to get their shopping done sometime, even the locals.

Coming very soon from Reason Clothing and Blind Barber-

Lastly, if anyone is in New York this evening, feel free to join us for our annual holiday party at Le Bain on the rooftop of the Standard Hotel for a fun night of dancing and festivities.
Price had the opportunity to DJ at Stylecaster’s Holiday Party this past weekend at the legendary Don Hill’s on Spring Street. As part of the deal, Jon also did a quick interview for the magazine which you can read here, in case you don’t get to read it, here’s my favorite snippet,
“Reason mixes the high-quality product of a contemporary fashion label with a wide variety of pop culture and music references. One of the line’s most popular t-shirts alters the iconic logo of The Ramones by inserting the names of Harlem rappers, the Diplomats. “It was the fashion equivalent of a ‘mash up,'” DJ Price explains. “It was like blending two seemingly opposite records together but doing it with a t-shirt.”
Got to catch up with our friend Adam G (Fools Gold Records). FG has some big moves planned for the near future including their highly anticipated holiday party this friday at Tammany Hall in New York.
Three hours of open bar and a whole bunch of girls sending in Twitter remarks like ”Ohhh my gawd the Dj at this Stylecaster party is ah-maezing“ later, Jon was all smiles-
The man in charge, Ari Goldberg doing the holiday speech thing-
Hacula did the artwork inside the recently re-designed space.
