LOCKED IN-

Our Online Shop has been the only web-based store carrying Reason Brand products for a few years now. Not for nothing, but we’ve always felt that no other virtual storefront could showcase our brand, our products, and the lifestyle and story surrounding them the same way we do in our web-store.

That all changed a few months back when Melanie Drake approached us about a new project she was working on called Vault. The new e-commerce site, owned by the mammoth Japanese website Rakuten was unlike anything we had heard of before. The members only site features items selected by the brand themselves, and showcases the story and lifestyle of the company with a video produced by the in house team at Vault.

Vault launched this week in its Beta version. Their web shop is the online online store carrying Reason besides our own. We’ve also launched with a lineup of vintage tees and jackets that are available exclusively through vault.

Head to http://www.vau.lt/reasonclothing to preview the beta version now or click the image below to watch our Vault brand video-

WESTSIDE ☜ –

Busy weekend ahead. In addition to the Outpost being open for normal business hours this weekend, we will also be hosting our very first ever winter sample sale at the Altman Building in Chelsea. After the astounding success of or last sample sale, we’ve dug deep into our archives and vintage vaults to bring out the very best for this sale. We will also be selling select items from our Fall/Winter ‘12 collections, plus a very special lineup of jewelry from NoiseGirl (www.noisegirl.com)

In addition to the Reason and NoiseGirl items, the Altman Building will also be hosting over a dozen other brands and vendors for this event including Vaute Couture, DNAinfo New York, Bitter & Esters, Suds & the City Soap, Unlock a Secret, Divine Destiny Accessories and MAIZURU Eco-Luxury Stationery.

If you’ve ever visited one of our sample sales you know that the deals and selections are not-to-miss. The event is from 11am – 6m at The Altman Building, 135 W. 18th St. this Saturday, October 20th, 2012.

Last week a crazy guy came into the store and paid the staff to Gorilla Glue a taxidermy alligator head to his belt buckle. Worst part is it wasn’t even the weirdest thing that happened that day.

Thom Yorke of Radiohead DJ’ing for 100 people at the Rag&Bone fashion week after party. Better than any festival or club I’ve ever experienced.

Ehhhh maybe not this though. Price at Greystone Manor in Hollywood last week. THAT CHANDELIER IS BIGGER THAN MY BEDROOM.
